WHAT TO EXPECT

What you can expect during your visit to The Sewickley Spa... Your visit with us should be a time of relaxation and comfort, dedicated to your well-being and peace of mind. We know that many of our clients have questions they'd like to ask before coming in to the spa, so we've provided answers to the most frequently asked questions below. What are the Spa's hours?

We are open from 9:00am until 7:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday and 9:00am until 6:00pm Friday and Saturday.
The spa can be booked for private parties, in advance, during non-listed hours.
  • I have never had a massage before. I'm a little concerned?

    Many of our guests are concerned before their first massage, because it's a new experience. This is a positive, pampering experience designed for your comfort. No personal body parts are ever exposed during any massage treatments. Our staff are all extensively trained to work on all body types. Please do not be concerned with size, shape or health considerations. Once the massage begins, clients relax and enjoy the benefits immensely.

  • Is the clientele and staff mostly women, or mixed gender?

    Our clientele is predominantly women, but we do have many male clients. You will see male and female staffers. If you have a preference for a male or female technician, please request this when scheduling, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

  • What do I wear while at the Spa?

    Currently, we are having clients change in the treatment room.  Comfortable, overflowing robe, and slippers are available upon request. We ask you to remove all jewelry during some treatments. Make-up will be removed before any facial treatments. You will take your purse with you into your treatment room.

  • How should I prepare for my Spa experience?

    Wear comfortable clothes, unless you're going to a special event afterwards. Don't wear excessive jewelry. If you're going to have a pedicure, wear sandals or other open-toed footwear. If you have a  cell phone, we ask you to turn them off when you arrive. If you need to be reached during your treatments, please let the receptionist know you are expecting a call.

  • What about gratuities?

    Our gift certificates and prices do not include gratuities for the staff. Our technicians graciously accept and appreciate cash or checks made out to them personally and venmo. Gratuity cannot be added to a credit card. We have envelopes available at the reception desk for your convenience. The industry standard is 22% of spa services and packages. We have found that $20 to $25 is the range most guests leave for each spa service. However, your gratuity is a personal matter and should reflect your satisfaction with your services.

  • Parking.

    We have a free parking lot in the rear of the building for spa guests only.  


    Street parking is metered.  The Borough of Sewickley Parking Authority utilizes pay stations 


    In addition, the Borough of Sewickley Parking Authority utilizes Meter Feeder for payment for public spaces; just download the Meter Feeder App on your I-Phone or Android Phone.

  • I have really sensitive skin. I'm concerned about the products and treatments?

    Before we begin your Spa experience, we discuss any special sensitivities or needs you may have. We have a range of options to accommodate our guests, including specialties for sensitive skin, acne, age spots, Rosacea and pigmented skin tones. Our products are imported from Parma, Italy, using the finest ingredients with no animal testing. Sewickley Spa products can only be sold by licensed professional skin care technicians in a licensed facility. Our skin care regimens are outstanding, available for at home use, and are shipped to many locations around the globe.

  • Who will be performing my treatments?

    All Spa technicians are certified or licensed according to Pennsylvania state law. All staff are also put through our own internal training program before they interact with clients. Many of our staff have International training, far exceeding local and regional expectations.

  • Are refreshments available?

    Herbal teas, bottled water and pre-packaged snacks are yours for the asking at all times, with our compliments.

  • Who recognizes The Sewickley Spa?

    The Sewickley Spa is a licensed facility, examined routinely by County and State inspectors. We have maintained an impeccable record for sanitation, sterilization, and correct procedures. The Sewickley Spa has been voted 'Best Day Spa' for the past several years in most every reader poll in the region. We have also been recognized as 'Top 100 Fastest Growing Business' in the Western Pa area, for several years. The founder, Dorothy Andreas, has been recognized by Governor Ed Rendell as 'Best 50 Women in Business' in 2003. In August 2003, The Sewickley Spa got the coveted cover story in Spa Management Magazine, for an outstanding business model. The Sewickley Spa is a member of ISPA, International Spa Association, as well as Women Presidents Organization. We hold Impeccable standing with The Better Business Bureau, Sewickley Chamber of Commerce, and our neighbors.

  • Gift Certificate/Gift Card Return Policy

     What is your Returns Policy?


    PROTECT THIS CARD, TREAT IT AS YOU WOULD CASH. The Sewickley Spa is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed cards. Use of this card constitutes acceptance of these terms. This card may be used for services only, and must be presented at time of purchase or service. This card is not valid for gratuities or redeemable for cash. Cancellation of appointments within 24 hours and no-shows, for any reason, are subject to a fee. Gift certificates are transferable only, they are non-refundable.
