How to Get Your Groove Back After Social Distancing

It might not seem like it, but social distancing will eventually end. We will finally—finally—reach the light at the end of the tunnel with everything being shut down. When it's over, we'll be able to crawl out from under our shelter-in-place orders with our roots showing, maybe a little extra meat on our bones and our eyes awkwardly adjusting to the sunlight again.

Okay, it’s most likely not that severe, but it certainly has been a lot of time and stress!

That being said, we want to share a few ideas on how to get your groove back when social distancing does eventually end.

Move Slowly Back to Normal

We’ve been isolated from our friends and families so long, it’ll be tempting to fill our schedules back up with interaction. While this can be great and exciting for many, it can also seem like a good idea and then feel overwhelming, fast. Remember in the land of pre-social distancing when you made plans and then prayed that they’d get canceled the day of?

Walk before you run back to your friends and families. Give yourself time to readjust to your social lifestyle again.

Work Out In a Group

With social distancing, we haven’t really enjoyed the chance to work out with our friends—or with a group at all. While some prefer it this way, others find working out with friends extremely helpful. Everyone could use an accountability buddy when it comes to the gym!

If there’s anything we’ve learned from COVID-19, it’s the importance of staying healthy. Not only will you feel better in general, you’ll also make your body stronger to fight off any future viruses.

Schedule a Spa Day

We might be biased, but to us, there is no better way to get our groove back than a spa day. When the day comes, release tension from your muscles—and body in general—with a massage. Replenish your skin from all of the stress with a facial. Add a pop of color back to your nails with a manicure or pedicure. There's no wrong way to go with any of this—just enjoy it!
